Life between the theme parks and the residential communities

Daily life mixes major attractions with residential communities: Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, opened in 2023, sit alongside Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi's largest shopping centre, and the Yas Bay Waterfront, home to Etihad Arena, an 18,000-seat indoor venue that opened in January 2021.

What stands out, and what to weigh

The island holds four major theme parks plus the Yas Marina Circuit, sits about 10 minutes from the airport, and offers Yas Mall together with the Yas Bay Waterfront and a wide choice of residential communities, many near the Yas Links golf course. Against that: Abu Dhabi has no metro system, so residents rely on cars or buses, traffic and crowds increase sharply around major events such as the Grand Prix and Etihad Arena concerts, and some residential clusters remain under construction alongside completed communities.
