Motor City is a freehold district in Dubai built around Dubai Autodrome, one of the areas already described in Republic's area directory. This guide sets out, in plain language, what the district actually is and what matters before renting or buying here.

A motorsport community split into three parts

Motor City is built around Dubai Autodrome, a motorsport, karting and entertainment venue at the centre of the community, with direct road access to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Qudra Road. The community splits into three parts: Uptown Motor City, mostly low- and mid-rise apartment buildings from studio to 4-bedroom centred on the First Avenue plaza with cafes, nurseries and retail on the ground floors; Green Community Motor City, a gated cluster of villas and townhouses from 3 to 5 bedrooms set around a lake; and Business Park Motor City.

Schools, clinics and where daily life happens

GEMS Metropole School - Motor City offers the National Curriculum for England from Foundation Stage to Year 13, alongside nurseries such as Emirates British Nursery, Jebel Ali Village Nursery Motor City and Building Blocks Nursery. For healthcare, Medcare Medical Centre Motor City at The Ribbon Mall covers dentistry, dermatology, ENT, family medicine, gastroenterology, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, paediatrics and physiotherapy with around 13 doctors, alongside Prime Medical Center and Medicentres. Retail and dining stay concentrated in a few hubs, First Avenue, The Ribbon Mall and the Motor City Retail Area, rather than spread evenly across the community.

What stands out, and what to weigh

The community offers a motorsport identity rare for a Dubai residential district, a mix of apartment and villa or townhouse formats, direct road access to two major roads, and an on-site school with several nurseries. It is a freehold area, master-planned by Union Properties, open to foreign buyers under the same national framework as Dubai's other freehold areas. Against that: there is no metro station within Motor City itself, the nearest is Mall of the Emirates on the Red Line about a 15-minute drive, also reachable by the F37 feeder bus; a large share of the master development is still unlaunched or under construction; and service charge is set per building by its owners' association and varies across Uptown and Green Community rather than following one community-wide rate.
