Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) is a residential community developed by Nakheel in the centre of new Dubai, covering about 870 hectares and organised into districts laid out around a circular road network. It sits between Al Khail Road (E44) to the east and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) to the west, bordered by Hessa Street to the north, and is administratively part of Al Barsha South. Development is mostly mid-rise apartment buildings, with a smaller share of townhouses and villas.

Strengths

Lifestyle

JVC is built around Circle Mall on Hessa Street, opened in 2021 as the community's main retail and dining hub with a supermarket, around 80 stores and a food court. Daily life is largely car-dependent: the internal road network favours short drives between districts rather than a single walkable centre, though each cluster of buildings has its own ground-floor cafes and shops. Community parks are distributed across the districts rather than concentrated in one location.

Transport

JVC has no metro station of its own. The nearest stations are Al Fardan Exchange (formerly Al Khail, Red Line), on Sheikh Zayed Road, and Mall of the Emirates (Red Line), both reached from the community by RTA feeder bus or a short taxi ride. Direct road access is via Al Khail Road (E44), Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Hessa Street.

Schools

JSS International School operates inside JVC itself, teaching the British and Indian curricula; its most recent KHDA inspection (2023/24) rated it Very Good. Sunmarke School, teaching the British and IB curricula, is located nearby in Jumeirah Village Triangle and was also rated Very Good in its 2023/24 inspection.

Healthcare

Two multi-specialty clinics operate inside JVC: Aster Clinic (Damac Tower, Circle area), covering general medicine, paediatrics, dermatology and dentistry, and Medcare Medical Centre, located inside Circle Mall, covering obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and family medicine.
